RTD visits Peace School in Sri Lanka
"For Mrs. Bernadine Anderson, the Founder and Directress of LPF Academy and La Petite Fleur Montessori, the 17 year-old sister school, the whole thing – Martin Luther King III visiting the school, speaking to students, posing for photos with the Peace Gang, signing photos of his father as keepsakes, singing peace songs together in the Peace Circle, creating a Peace Collage – was like a dream. She was walking on air for a while and is still slightly starry-eyed about the honour bestowed on her school, and the international recognition of what she and her staff are trying to achieve."
MLK III takes RTD's message to SUNY Canton

MLK III Stresses Inter-ethnic Cooperation in Florida
As part of RTD's mission to continue Dr. King's legacy, MLK III often speaks around the country on issues of poverty, community and nonviolence. One of those events took place in Florida this February, when Mr. King keynoted a panel on the history of cooperation between Jews and African-Americans, both of whom have been instrumental to this country's ongoing social change.

MLK Receives Community Service Award in Atlanta
In February, Martin Luther King III was honored to accept the Church of Latter-Day Saints' annual Community Service Award in Atlanta. The ceremony was part of LDS's Black Family History Day Leadership Symposium, which honors individuals who have played a positive role in Atlanta's black community.
MLK III presents 2010 "Testament of Hope Award"
This January in Boston, Realizing the Dream awarded its annual Testament of Hope Award to Isaura Mendes, a local activist devoted to ending youth violence in the city.
